Pennsylvania General Energy Company (PGE) is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support our oil and gas operations by ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. This role involves data collection, reporting, and oversight of environmental programs and permitting processes. 1. Responsible for Area of Reviews (sending notifications, tracking responses, and uploads). 2. Responsible for managing, monitoring and organizing pre-drill sampling. 3. Responsible for obtaining well permits (notifications, filing and accurate data input). 4. Schedules 26R sampling events and works with landfills to ensure they receive proper paperwork for waste approvals. 5. Updates monthly solid waste spreadsheet in a timely manner. 6. Maintains and records monthly air quality data into rolling spreadsheet. 7. Obtain OGI certification and conduct quarterly Leak Surveys in accordance with State and Federal requirements as well as PGE Fugitive Emissions Program. 8. Responsible for compliance and coordination of Act 9 requirements. 9. Responsible for maintenance of environmental compliance documents including storage, cataloging, and retrieval of documents. Maintains the integrity of working documents and updates document revisions. 10. Assists with revising, formatting and reviewing internal policies/procedures. 11. Responsible for completing PNDI searches and clearances, scheduling and monitoring field activities and coordinating the clearance of new submittals as needed. 12. Responsible for the management of invasive treatment contractors, monitors costs and reviews work. 13. Assists with the submittal of NOT’s (Notice of Termination) and other permitting as needed. Qualification: 1. Associates or Bachelor of Science in Biology, Geology, Environmental Sciences or related field or commensurate experience 2. 1-3 years of industry experience 3. Basic understanding of environmental rules and regulations as they relate to oil and gas 4. Effective technical writing and oral skills 5.
