Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused In-Store Salesperson with proven experience in building materials and an understanding of the high-end residential construction market. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality materials, an eye for design, and a consultative sales approach. Your role is to help homeowners, builders, designers, and contractors select the best products to meet their project needs, all while delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional, approachable manner.
  • Guide clients through product selection based on project requirements, design aesthetics, and budget.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of our product lines, including wood species, lumber, flooring, paneling, hardware, molding, live edge slabs, stair treads, decking, and more.
  • Cultivate relationships with repeat clients such as contractors, builders, designers, and architects.
  • Generate quotes, process orders, and ensure timely follow-up on all sales leads.
  • Stay informed about trends in luxury home building and premium materials.
  • Coordinate with vendors and warehouse teams to confirm product availability and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspiring showroom environment.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  • Some outbound sales calls and travel / networking required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of in-store or B2B sales experience in building materials, home improvement, or construction supply.
  • Familiarity with high-end residential design and custom home building standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to read blueprints or project plans is a plus.
  • Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and CRM software.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Background in sales of building or construction products.
  • Existing client base in the luxury home sector.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive base salary $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 annual salary based on experience plus commission structure
